Boy George has reportedly offered to help Pete Burns’ family and pay for the cost of the former singer’s funeral.
The singer’s ex wife, Lynne Corlett, and husband Michael Simpson were left with the cost but Boy George has stepped up to help Burns’ loved ones.
Evelina Burns was 46 years old when she gave birth to Pete.
Burns wrote of his childhood in his autobiography Freak Unique.
George Galloway, who shared the Celebrity Big Brother House with Burns in 2006, tweeted: 'Sad to hear of the demise of Pete Burns.
He was a cross between Oscar Wilde and Dorothy Parker. RIP.' Samuel Preston, the Ordinary Boys frontman who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother alongside the singer in 2006, tweeted: 'Heartbroken to hear about Pete Burns.
He thinks Lynne and Michael have enough on their plates and wanted to take this concern away from them.He came back to prominence after appearing on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, alongside a host of other names including flamboyant former basketball star Dennis Rodman and politician George Galloway, who famously pretended to be a cat on the show.No charges were brought against him because the pelts used to make the coat were found to have been imported before it became illegal to use them, although animal rights campaigners were upset at the events.'Surely marriage is throwing anchor and saying, "This is where I'm staying, I've made my choice and this is all I want because I've been on the up and down escalator, through the revolving door and I want to stand still." That's what I expected.''The relationships I'm aware of, apart from one ...it's as though there's some kind of emotional inadequacy or narcissism, where they feel emotionally inadequate and need more validation, from either a father figure or a mirror image of themselves.
